In my Shiatsu treatments I use essential oils as a supportive element to engage as many senses as possible and thereby deepen the effectiveness of the session. Through their scent, the oils act directly on the limbic system and influence mood, emotions, and inner balance.
Citrus essences such as orange or bergamot uplift and brighten the spirit.
Lavender calms and relaxes the nervous system.
Grounding aromas like vetiver, patchouli, or cedarwood provide stability and support. In addition, I select oils specifically to harmonize Yin and Yang – the two fundamental forces that govern our well-being.
